Split30 Proto Bindings
Date: 5/30/09
Test, test, test has been the motto for the 08/09 snow season. Utah powder, Cascade concrete, freezing rain, spring corn, mashed potatoes, you name it we've toured in it. Our emphasis on testing has developed the Split30 splitboard binding system into a solid and light weight backcountry weapon for slaying the pow and carving up the spring corn. My personal system has over 26 tours in UT, WA and OR and 42 ride mode test days at Snowbird. With the latest configuration, the bindings are 140 grams lighter than the competion. The Split30 splitboard binding system is set to release in January 2010 in limited quantities.
Split30 Prototype

Our prototype splitboard binding adapter system has been in testing since August. We're validating the design through the 08/09 winter to guarantee a product of the highest quality.

Karakoram started up in February 2008 by my twin brother (Tyler) and me (Bryce) following our dream to combine our careers with our passion for skiing and snowboarding. After years of working as mechanical design engineers in the corporate world, we're breaking away and starting Karakoram.
